My name is Rawan Sharaf and I am a portrait photographer from Dallas, Texas. For as long as I can remember, I have been taking pictures to capture the pure essence of the moment and would love to do the same for you!

My Photography Journey!

One of my most vivid memories is my dad giving me a silver little Canon Powershot on one of our trips while visiting our family in Egypt. I remember taking picture of the streets on our way to our vacation rental for the weekend and loving every second of having this camera in my hand.

A few years later I was in middle school, I begged and begged my parents to get me a camera. There's nothing I wanted more than to be like the photographers I watched on Youtube who had camera gear on shelves behind them in their videos! A little over a year later, my parents surprised me with my first camera- a Canon T5 . I called this camera my prized possession (and I still do). There is nothing I loved more than being able to capture a moment, freeze memories and create digital art.

When high school rolled around, I knew I had to join yearbook! I spent 1 year on the yearbook team and unofficially became the photographer for my school's swim team. Through my time in yearbook I learned so much about the history of photography and how to compose. I fell more and more in love with photography and started asking my friends if we can go take picture in our local parks and around my neighborhood. My camera, which I named Skylar because I took so many picture of the sky, and I were inseparable from that point on!

I am now in my 20s, have outgrown my Canon T5, and there is nothing I love more than creating, making people feel beautiful and capturing your memories ALL through photography!
